Rev. William "Bill" Roberts, Pastor
Bill was born and raised in Greensboro, North
Carolina, graduating from Walter Hines Page Senior High School
in 1979. He attended UNC-Greensboro and earned a BA in Communications
in 1985. Following graduation, Bill worked for a brief time in
Radio, but later worked in various capacities at Moses H. Cone
Hospital in Greensboro. It is there that he met his wife, Lisa.
They were married on Christmas Eve, 1988. Throughout these years,
Bill became a very active member of Mt. Pisgah United Methodist
Church, growing in both his faith and his involvement. While taking
the Disciple Bible Study there, Bill got his call to Ordained
Ministry. He enrolled in Duke Divinity School in 1995 and received
his Master of Divinity Degree in 1999. Bill became a Student Local
Pastor in 1996, serving the Haw River Charge (Fairgrove and Mizpah
United Methodist Churches) until his graduation from Duke Divinity.
At that time, he was appointed the Associate Pastor of First United
Methodist Church in Hickory, NC, where he served until June of
2002. Bill was then appointed to Prospect United Methodist Church, just south of Monre, North Carolina where he served until June of 2007. He was ordained an Elder in Full Connection in 2001, and
currently serves as the Pastor of Triplett United Methodist Church in Mooresville, NC.
