Rev. William "Bill" Roberts, Pastor

Bill was born and raised in Greensboro, North Carolina, graduating from Walter Hines Page Senior High School in 1979. He attended UNC-Greensboro and earned a BA in Communications in 1985. Following graduation, Bill worked for a brief time in Radio, but later worked in various capacities at Moses H. Cone Hospital in Greensboro. It is there that he met his wife, Lisa. They were married on Christmas Eve, 1988. Throughout these years, Bill became a very active member of Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church, growing in both his faith and his involvement. While taking the Disciple Bible Study there, Bill got his call to Ordained Ministry. He enrolled in Duke Divinity School in 1995 and received his Master of Divinity Degree in 1999. Bill became a Student Local Pastor in 1996, serving the Haw River Charge (Fairgrove and Mizpah United Methodist Churches) until his graduation from Duke Divinity. At that time, he was appointed the Associate Pastor of First United Methodist Church in Hickory, NC, where he served until June of 2002. Bill was then appointed to Prospect United Methodist Church, just south of Monre, North Carolina where he served until June of 2007. He was ordained an Elder in Full Connection in 2001, and currently serves as the Pastor of Triplett United Methodist Church in Mooresville, NC.
