Who we are
It has been more than 100 years since “Uncle Davie” Brown began preaching to this community, more than 100 years since Rev. T. L. Triplett founded the church that now bears his name. Much has changed in this community and in our world since those early days. Once a church reaching out to local farmers and their families, Triplett UMC now gathers in people of many ages, many vocations, and many backgrounds. But, the mission of Triplett UMC remains essentially the same: Sharing with the community and the world the Good News of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Where will you hear that Good News? You will hear it in one of our weekly worship services designed to meet you where you are. You can also hear the Good News in our weekly Bible studies, designed to deepen our understanding and our faith. You just might see the Good News in action on a mission trip or during an outreach activity. And you can certainly feel the Good News which is alive in our fellowship every time we gather. It has been more than 100 years since our church was first founded, and in those years much has changed. But, we are now and will always be a people of faith dedicated to Jesus Christ, dedicated to each other, and dedicated to you. Join us for worship, for study, and for fellowship. Come hear, see, and feel the Good News alive at Triplett Untied Methodist Church.
